The extremely popular Transport Technology Forum conference will take place this year at the Hilton Hotel in Leeds from 25 – 27 April.
Following the highly successful event in Liverpool last May, which was oversubscribed with delegates due to the quality of its content and networking opportunities, a larger venue has been secured for this year capable of hosting 250 people.
Using sponsorship revenue from the private sector, local authorities will be able to send a representative who will receive a place at the conference and an invitation to networking events, including the conference dinner. They will have their hotel cost covered too.
This year the conference will examine how Government is supporting Local Authorities in the delivery of road transport technology to create a more prosperous and greener Britain. It will include the launch of the Manual for Smart Streets guidance, details about funding opportunities and case studies from Local Authorities who have successfully implemented transport technology projects.
There will also be meetings of all six TTF Working Groups who cover connected vehicles, Urban Traffic Management and Control, Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure, parking, Mobility as a Service and open data. These groups will then report to all delegates.
“The TTF Conference is the event that brings together national and local government to share the latest innovations in transport technology and to give feedback on any barriers to adoption,” explained LCRIG Director, Government and Strategy Paula Claytonsmith who leads on Policy support for TTF on behalf of the Department for Transport and Innovate UK. “By getting the industry together, we discuss how to quickly, cost effectively and efficiently improve the movement of people and goods around the UK. Furthermore, thanks to the participation and support of the supplier network, we can showcase real-world examples of technology that authorities can adopt. This is why it is such a popular, must-attend event.”
Local Authorities are being contacted with details of the event and how to register an interest for one of the fully funded places available. Private Sector suppliers have the opportunity to showcase their companies by sponsoring and exhibiting at the event. The package are extremely cost-effective and more information is available by contacting [email protected].
