Beyond the Plug: What’s Next for UK Charging Infrastructure? brings together local authorities, industry, government and researchers to examine the next phase of public charging delivery. With plug-in infrastructure now scaling through LEVI and other programmes, the session looks ahead to the challenges and choices that come next. Topics include power constraints, cross-pavement approaches, wireless charging, accessibility, cyber security, procurement practice and the practical realities faced by councils.
The event features updates from DfT/OZEV, Energy Saving Trust, innovators, charge point operators and a mixed panel exploring how different charging and mobility options fit within real-world networks. The aim is to give authorities and industry a clear view of what is emerging, what remains difficult and where support is needed as deployment becomes more complex.
Beyond the Plug: What’s Next for UK Charging Infrastructure? will take place on 16 March 2026 at the Hinckley Island Hotel, Leicestershire.
